Born and brought up in Mumbai, Ashita finished her graduation from MMK College. Getting into acting was totally coincidental. She started her acting career with Balaji Telefilms with Qayamat on Doordarshan, and ever since she has been part of many serials like Kesar, Saathi Re, Paraya Dhan, Zaara. She was acknowledged in Bidaai on STAR Plus where she plays Maalti.

Dancing has been her passion and is very excited about being a part of this battle of sexes she is truly of the opinion that girls are way better than boys in every aspect, and it wont be different on the dance floor she is expecting it to be a fierce contest but believes that at the end girls will emerge winners.
